Artist Residency at Weir Farm, Wilton, CT

For the month of February 2018, I have had the pleasure of being an artist-in-residence at Weir Farm National Historic Site in Wilton, CT. Weir Farm is a special place where American Impressionist Julian Alden Weir lived and worked, and where he invited artist friends like Childe Hassam and John Singer Sargent to visit and paint with him. The grounds of the farm are truly beautiful, and the studio space, which overlooks wetlands and woods, is a wonderful place to work. Expanding on the tree paintings I did at Weir Farm in 2010, I have been painting 5 by 8 foot portraits of trees. Stay tuned for pictures of the completed works!
