POSTCARDS ADVERTISING GALA EVENT
CLIENT: PRINCETON PUBLIC LIBRARY, PRINCETON, NJ
Shown: Early Support Invitation, Save the Date Card, and General Invitation, Front
The concept and design of the postcard centered on using the symbol of a butterfly from David Henry Hwang's famous play M. Butterfly, styled to reference chuāng huā, the Chinese art of paper cutting. While relating to M. Butterfly, the butterfly here also embodies the idea of the imagination taking flight and identity materializing through the power of literature. The library's colors of red and gray were used to maintain consistency of brand.
POSTCARD ADVERTISING YOGA RETREAT
CLIENTS: ESP PRODUCTIONS, PRINCETON, NJ &
LEIGH EVANS, BROOKLY, NY
Shown: postcard front
The concept and design of the postcard centered on highlighting the majesty of the Austrian landscape to generate interest in the retreat. By eliminating all design motifs and elements, and using a single photograph chosen from a group of images supplied by the client, I allowed the beauty of the Alps to create the impact. In keeping with the aesthetic of the clients' websites, the design, color scheme, and font were kept clean, modern, and minimal. The 4X6 format was used to conserve space, and the postcard front contained pertinent information only, while the details and contact information filled the back side.
MARKETING MATERIALS
CLIENT: PAXTON INTERNATIONAL, SPRINGFIELD, VA
Shown: Household Goods Flier, Front/Back
Paxton International is a family owned company that has been relocating families around the world for more than a century. Providing superior service from seasoned professionals, they have knowledge and experience few companies can match.
The design of collateral materials involved arranging a great deal of important information about Paxton's awards, achievements, and services without creating an overloaded page. In the final design, the front of each page in the series prominently features a photograph of an employee, thereby highlighting the personal service the company provides. The color scheme was kept simple, using their signature blue. The overall design joins a great deal of information into a clean, modern layout presenting their unique story.

LIGHTBOX AD
